Aisling is an Irish-born comedian that has been in the business for some time. Born in Kildare, Ireland on the 16th of March 1984. The comedian has appeared featured on QI, with Stephen Fry. Aisling CliodhnadhSullivan (born 16 March 1984), also known as Aisling bea Aisling Cliodhnadh Sullivan, is an Irish comedian, writer and actress. After playing bits in a variety of Irish and British television shows since 2009 Bea began her professional career as a stand-up comedian in 2011. In 2012, Bea was appearing on sitcoms or sketch comedy. After she won an award at Edinburgh Comedy Awards (ECA) in 2012, she began appearing regularly in various panel programs. She's a member of 8 Out of 10 Cats since the year 2016 and is an extremely popular contestant on the show's sequel 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. The actress is the child of Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead, her older sister was born. She was the winner of the So You Think You're Funny Award for the second time. Her surname is Bea in honor of her deceased father. Aisling O'Sullivan, whose real name is as Cliodhnadh Aisling, was born at Kildare town, which is located in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian who was an equine vet who was killed when Bea reached the age of three, was a victim of self-harm. Bea was informed of his death only at the age of thirteen. The stage name she chose was Bea to pay tribute to her father. She also she wrote an article for The Guardian in 2017 about the family's suicide experience. Bea as well as her sister Sinead were nurtured by their mother Helen (nee Moloney) who was a secondary school teacher, jockey trainer, and professional jockey for a time. The family was obsessed with racing and horses. Bea started her journey as a tour guide at the Irish National Stud. However Bea knew early that the race industry wasn't the right fit for her.
